Member Services

Member Services

Member Services supports the community by observing culture, language, Elders, families, and creation, and is necessary for healthy individuals, community, and family life. Member services embraces the achievement of whole health — physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, social, and economic well-being — through a coordinated, comprehensive approach that respects, values, and utilizes Akisqnuk specific cultural knowledge, approaches, language, and ways of knowing.

The member services team and services seek to address the indicators that challenge the Akisqnuk community; however, at times; there are gaps in services. The goal of Member Services is to provide programs and services that are provided in a culturally safe manner. As a result, the Akisqnuk community and leadership have been calling for the development of a coordinated, comprehensive approach to mental health and overall wellness programming. In response, member services are working diligently to provide evidence-based support and identify gaps that require further investigation and forward thinking.  This approach is considered to resolve barriers for those members who may have challenges or hesitation about seeking supports.

The entire member services team strives to ensure that we achieve excellence in member services.  We are here to assist you however we can and welcome you to visit and share your needs/concerns/questions and comments with any member of the team.
